New JudoChess Logo

All,

In the near future, the JudoChess team will be working diligently to brand the game holistically which includes but not limited to:
* JudoChess Logo
* Website Redesign
* Graphic Interface

We hope that the "look and feel" of the game will be consistent and have it's own identity with the new brand. First and foremost, we will need a new logo. I have worked with a designer and we have come up with these 3 options.

What I ask from the community is: Which one do you like best? Concept 1, 2, or 3?

...Ehhh. I don't really like any of them, but I guess I'll go with 1.

I'd have to say Logo 1 as well, since the logo is a square and there is a a little unused white-space in the four corners, perhaps something could fill the gaps to signify the 4 players or sides of the board could enhance just a bit (Suggested Examples: Faces/Board-Sides/Kings/Queens etc.. ). Possibly a drop shadow to?

agree on #1.. however - it needs a bit more "life"
In branding though - the actual logo should be more noticeable than the writing - so possibly have the writing within the knite

I also concur on #1, but it seems like it could use a little more. JudoChess and a Knight make you think of a normal chess site, not the real-time chess that JudoChess is. Maybe a yellow timer at and below the midpoint of the knight. Something to differentiate from normal chess.

What is the progress on this?
